SUMMER CREATIVE WRITING CONTEST
2008 WINNER

(No Title)

by Abigail Brown

One day a man went drumming on an eyeball. Boom boom Quack coocoo….the eyeball dropped blood like a water fountain on to the ground. The man said “I am sorry” because the eyeball did not like being drummed on. The man went under water with super goggles. He had to jump on water eyeballs. He slopped a lot of slime bubbles, and then the eyeballs left and went away.

He made an underwater twister like a strong tornado. He found treasure after the twister blew the treasure up. This was close to a hot place, so he went up, and he thought he found an island. He got to a big island. He saw a lot of dinosaurs, but he liked the meanest and biggest and the worst-looking one. He wanted to annoy it by riding him. He rode the dinosaur and then jumped off the dinosaur into a tree. From the tree, he shot baseball ice at the dinosaur because he wanted the dinosaur to leave him alone. The dinosaur did not like being so cold, so the dinosaur left.

So, he left on the way to climb a mountain that was close to the tree. He walked there, and he dug out some lava rocks. Then he climbed up to the top of the mountain. Then, it was so fiery, he put water inside the hole of the mountain with a hose. He had to jump inside, and he found great amber. All the rocks combined to make the amber. He decided to use his pointy spring to jump high into the sky. He jumped from one cloud to another. One cloud was a construction working machine that could float on the clouds. On the last cloud, he had to dig deep into it. He found very, very misty treasure which could tell when a storm is coming. He got sleepy, but he still did a good job to find more treasure. He had to screw something in sideways. A sideways ladder got to his construction machine, and he climbed up the next floor. Some parts here were not working. He had to knock down a hammer as hard as he could. He used a big screwdriver to screw it in. Then, the place opened up. He climbed up another ladder. At the ladder he had to on a machine to go on a riding basket inside the construction machine. The riding machine had to knock the trash cans to the bottom level. At the bottom level the trashcans broke, so they were sent back to the clouds. Then, he got up to the next floor. It was the last floor of all. He had to fix the lights, so he had to put a lot of electricity in to charge it. He had to hammer and screw it to the walls. When he was done, the treasure popped out.

He then got to a snowy place, and he put his special smart carrots down on the snow. The carrots sensed that there was a flag deeper under the snow. So he decided to pick the carrots up. He used a snowmobile digger to get the flag out. He put the flag inside the snowmobile digger on the floor. The flag made the floor softer. Then, there was a huge blizzard when he climbed the snowy mountain. He put a jacket that had a lot of sun inside out, and then the blizzard melted away.

He found some treasure, an icy crystal. He then walked a couple of miles, and he found this huge hot lava place. He had to sail in the hot lava in a boat that was waterproof and lava proof. In the boat, there were lava rock monsters, so he had to get some water balls and turned those into normal rocks. He had to jump on top of them to control the monsters. So then, he saw some monsters that were going to create a big problem. They had special powers to break the boat. Then, he had a good idea. He did something with his psychic control power. It threw the monsters out to the lava rocks, and the monsters turned into rocks. He dropped two more water balls, and then a lake was created. The lava rocks were at the bottom of the lake, and when he got to the treasure, it was very big. It was a big crystal rock that had never been seen before. It had small lava stones inside it.

He went on his final mission. He went to a big berry tree. The big berry tree was so big that he had to get the berries out. The berries had the secret good taste in them, but they were poisonous. So he dropped poison proof balls on the berries. The leader of the berries sent out a big poison berry monster. So he had to use eight poison-proof balls because the monster was eight feet tall. Then he found the leafy, tasting crystal berry treasure, and it converted the berries back to normal. Mmm yummy. Then he picked and ate some and brought some back to the eyeball.

He went back to the eyeball. The eyeball said, “Thank you. I want leprechaun’s gold. Give it to me.” He went to the leprechaun place. The leprechaun said, “Hi.” Then, the man wanted to get some rainbow crystals into his crystal case. He gave a flying box to the leprechaun and then the leprechaun went flying into space inside the box. The leprechaun dropped the gold onto the man. The man collected the gold into his crystal case. Then, he went back to the eyeball and gave the crystal case to the eyeball. The eyeball said, “Thanks for everything.” The eyeball gave the crystal case with gold to the museum where the rocks were kept. Then, the man went back to his job where he sold tickets to the museum over and over again.

The End
